Clean and tidy. Very close to train station. Walking distance to market and food spots along the way. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Room for 5 people (3 adults and 2 children) was quite small. Just enough room for bags

A great hotel that I keep coming back to

Have returned here multiple times - great rooms, very easy check-in, directly beside the subway and bus stops, and close to a variety of nearby landmarks. It makes a very good base for exploring Kyoto. The beds are comfortable, and they provide extra pillows on request. Desk staff are always very friendly, and windows are sound-proofed. A wide array of complementary amenities are available, including bottomless tea!

A great little room at a great cost

Stayed for 1 night and found the location directly across the road from train station was perfect. The room is small but adequate, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a great shower room. The staff where friendly.

Special mention of Lina & Lydia. They had superb initiative and excellent service. They were both patient in giving us directions to the tourist attractions. Their patience is appreciated. What valuable staff this hotel has..... The rooms were spacious. Imagine the rooms having both beds and tatami.

Close to underground stations, good for a small group

Location, price, washing machines, dryers, close to underground stations, good for a small group.

Room was dusty, especially in the corners. The dryer doesn't get clothes dried in one cycle, one washing machine was out of order

Excellent place, room is spacious and the bathroom is so modern love it.

The room is spacious and the hotel is very close to the Metro station. We love the buffet breakfast, excellent value for money. the staff is also really helpful. As we don’t speak Japanese, Lina at the reception made the huge efforts to help us book a restaurant for our dinner and also the bus reservation to Arima. Thank you so much Lina and the team.

The sink in the room has some problems and I was hoping the housekeeper will have it fixed but not.

It was central.. a station a few doors down.. convenience store and eateries down stairs. McDonald's and bus stop nearby. Typical Japanese hospitality..warm and welcoming. Amenities were in the lobby to help yourself to.. ???? and paste, brush.. etc Oh I chose for breakfast to be included..and I'm glad I did.. the selection was huge and this is where I got to taste traditional Japanese breakfast ...healthy .. some were tasty some had an acquired taste.. the little picture ingredients cards were extremely useful..

When other guests returned to the rooms the noise carried through. Room was hot..I didn't turn on the AC that was in the room. TV was a bit difficult to operate into English.. not that we had time to watch anything.

For the price it was okay but compared to other budget hotels in Japan we stayed in this was by far the dirtiest

The room was full of dust and you could see they don’t clean the rooms properly - also there is no cleaning of the room during your stay only towel change

The location is very convenient. It's very close to the Marutamachi station and some bus stops with buses going to popular sightseeing locations. The amenities are nice with lots of sockets and a nice bathroom.

The room is kinda small. It's a bit difficult to open our medium-sized luggage, so we ended up using one of the beds as a luggage rack.

Excellent hotel with amazing buffet breakfast

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The location was great and convenient to the subway. The buffet breakfast was amazing! The shuttle bus to the Golden temple was very convenient. The bathroom was excellent and even had a bath.

The room is a tad small for four people, but we managed.

Nice, clean place with everything you need, downstairs washing machines and dryer was great! Breakfast was delicious! Location was pretty good! Bus stop right in front of the hotel, you can get to all touristic places by bus, staff is nice, I loved everything

Big room with amazing beds to sleep, great location, next to metro and Kyoto parks

Very big room with very comfortable beds, had the best sleep in many days in Japan :) great location just next to the metro station and close to great areas tou visit.

Smelly bathroom and toilet from the humidity despite it was clean and I sprayed a deodorant many times.
